Kristin Judge (D)

Kristin Judge was elected Commissioner of the Washtenaw County 7th District in November, 2008 and was sworn into office on December 3, 2008. A resident of Washtenaw County for 12 years, Commissioner Judge has been a high profile community activist for a large part of that time.

As an active member of the Saline Area Schools community, she has participated in the Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC), STARS program, and many PTA and PTO activities including board positions.

Commissioner Judge serves on the Emergency Telephone District Board, Community Action Board and Head Start Policy Council. She is also a member of the Human Services Board for the Michigan Association of Counties.

Prior to moving to Michigan, Commissioner Judge graduated from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Education. After her experience teaching 6th grade, Commissioner Judge returned to school to earn a Masters in Counseling and a Masters in Education from Arizona State University.

A commitment to community safety and the well-being of children persuaded Kristin Judge to enter the political arena, and win elected office as Commissioner of the 7th District. Commissioner Judge lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and their son and daughter.
