WASHTENAW COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
PUBLIC NOTICE

The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners is looking for citizens to volunteer for a position with the Washtenaw County Road Commission. The Board of Commissioners will make this appointment at their upcoming session on September 17, 2008 at 6:45 p.m. in the Board Room, Administration Building, 220 North Main Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Individuals interested in applying should submit a letter of interest and resume, including a home address, to Joanna Bidlack, County Administrator’s Office, P.O. Box 8645, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48107. Those resumes received by Friday, September 5, 2008 will be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration on September 17, 2008. The appointment will become effective immediately.

•  Washtenaw County Road Commission. The Board is looking to fill one position for the remainder of a six-year term expiring December 31, 2012. The Road Commission is responsible for maintaining certain County roadways.

Individuals interested in appointment to the Washtenaw County Road Commission should have experience managing organizations, understanding and respect for labor unions and the bargaining process, be knowledgeable about the Washtenaw County Road Commission, possess strong leadership and communication skills, have excellent customer service skills, value employees and be committed to serving out the remainder of this term.
