Foster Grandparent Program

FGP  Foster Grandparent Volunteer Program        

The Foster Grandparents program provides volunteering opportunities to persons aged 55 and older to work one on one with special needs children.  Volunteer sites include public schools, hospitals, and day care centers.  In addition to the rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child, Foster Grandparents receive:

  • A stipend of $2.65 an hour 
  • Transportation assistance for program related activities
  • One meal each day of service
  • Orientation and ongoing training
  • Annual physical

Participants must be a US citizen of at least 55 years of age, meet income guidelines, and be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
