HIV/STD Program
National HIV Testing Day - June 27th
There are an estimated 5,000 people in the State of Michigan
who have HIV, but are unaware of their status. National HIV
Testing Day is a day to promote HIV testing among those who
do not know their status and to encourage those living with HIV
to seek treatment and support. Testing for HIV, whether you
test positive or negative is a step towards protecting your
health and the health of your partners.
During the week of June 22-26th, STD testing will be offered
for
free for those who also schedule an appointment for HIV testing.
When scheduling your appointment you must indicate that you
would like to get tested as part of National Testing Week.
